WSET Approved Programme Providers
What they do
Approved Programme Providers meet various criteria that enable them to offer the specific WSET course they have qualified for, and hold examinations. These criteria include:

having good administrative arrangements |
| • |
|
making available competent staff for tuition, invigilation and assessment as appropriate |
| • |
|
meeting minimum standards (e.g. teaching rooms) and resources (e.g. learning materials and sample usage) |
| • |
|
making financial references available |
| • |
|
agreeing to meet the WSET policy requirements (e.g. candidates with special needs) |
| • |
|
undertaking to comply with the Code of Practice for the administration of WSET examinations |
| • |
|
agreeing to the post-approval monitoring process |
In addition teaching staff emplyed by the APP to teach WSET qualifications must comply with the following criteria:

|
hold the WSET Foundation Tutor Certificate to teach the Foundation Certificate |
| • |
|
hold the WSET Level 3 Advanced Certificate as a minimum requirement to teach the Intermediate Certificate |
| • |
|
hold the WSET Level 4 Diploma qualification or equivalent if wishing to deliver the Advanced Certificate |
| • |
|
demonstrate competence by means of relevant wine trade and teaching experience |
| • |
|
be experienced in conducting tutorials in tasting using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting. |
